Two-Tone Kitchen & Living Room — Stutler Cabinets

A third Stutler Cabinets project in Portland — a two-tone Shiloh kitchen with a painted greige perimeter, a dark stained white oak island, and matching painted built-ins flanking a black-brick fireplace in the adjacent living room. Designed by Liz Stutler.

Liz Stutler's third feature in the gallery shows the range of the same brand and door style across two finishes and two rooms. The kitchen perimeter is Shiloh on a clean Shaker door, painted in a soft greige with brass hardware; the island is the same door in stained white oak — much darker, richer, with bar pulls in a matching brass. The cooktop wall is finished with a tight herringbone wood-look tile and a plaster vent hood that quiets the symmetry of the painted run. Across the open plan, the living room carries the painted perimeter cabinet program out as built-in bookshelves with cabinet bases, flanking a fireplace that's been treated with a black painted-brick wall and a chunky white oak mantel. Same dealer, same cabinetmaker, same door — three rooms, two finishes, one cohesive house.
