An Eclipse Cabinetry kitchen in Walnut Creek by Craig Lutz of Distinctive Cabinetry — Natural Walnut on the Metro slab door, a two-tone treatment with matte Smoke Stack HPL uppers over the cooktop wall, a deep-blue painted island end panel, and Wolf appliances throughout.
Eclipse Cabinetry on the Metro door style — Eclipse's full-overlay frameless slab — finished in Natural Walnut and laid out as a long galley with a single uninterrupted island. Craig Lutz of Distinctive Cabinetry pushed the design in three directions most slab-door kitchens don't go: a two-tone with matte Smoke Stack HPL uppers floating above the cooktop wall to break the walnut run, a deep-blue painted return on the back of the island that reads as architecture rather than a cabinet, and a paneled walnut hood and integrated fridge column that put the appliances inside the millwork instead of in front of it. Wolf rangetop and double wall ovens with the signature red knobs hold the kitchen's working spine; honed concrete-look counters, brass flat-bar pulls, and four sculptural plaster pendants finish the language. Open walnut shelves over a wine-glass rack on the back wall do double duty as a small entertaining bar, and a paneled microwave drawer, paneled dishwasher, and a built-in coffee station tucked under the wall ovens keep the working surfaces clean.
